The Story Behind the Adventure 🏔

If you've seen my Instagram or TikTok video you'll know that the inspiration for The Bel Air Kids and the Library Mystery stemmed from a stroll through my hometown of

But there's a super cute story behind how the idea for how the idea was born!

Here it goes...

My husband, Adam, and I were talking a Summer's eve walk when we passed by the Bel Air Branch of Harford County Public Library. To our surprise, we saw yellow caution tape blocking the library's front entrance! We were curious about what was happening until we saw a paper note that informed the public that renovations were being done to the library. (To be quite honest, the tape looked serious!)

As we continued to walk around the tape, I said to Adam, "Can you imagine being a kid who loves the library and not understanding what the yellow tape means?? You would be so confused!"

Then I thought for a couple of seconds more and added, "You know that would be a good idea for a children's book."

And just like that the concept for The Bel Air Kids and the Library Mystery was born--directly from a real-life experience at the library!
